About
Clg An Tearmainn is a GAA Club located in Termon, a small town in the North of County Donegal in the North West of Ireland. It has over 200 adult members and 278 juvenile members partaking in GAA activity, community initiatives and cultural programmes. The Club is at the heart of the rural community and provides high quality sporting, health & wellbeing initiatives as well as being a central community hub accessible for all.
Clg An Tearmainn is committed to delivering activities which build capacity and support personal development of the entire rural Community of Termon Donegal. Therefore, the services it offers are not restricted to Gaelic Games and a focus is to provide a range and diversity of provision locally from the club’s community facilities.
Our work
Clg An Tearmainn signed up under our FundReady ‘Support’ Package in September 2019. The focus of our work centres around supporting the Club through their Capital Development journey- in an ongoing advisory capacity and crucially helping the Club secure essential Capital funding. We have also helped secure funding towards community programme and initiatives that within the wider community impact of the Club.
Over the last 18 months, we have been able to help Clg An Tearmainn secure capital funding towards a Community Walking Trail (circa €60,000) and over €500,000 to date towards match funding for their larger Capital Development Project. The Club has also secured important small-scale funding towards programme costs including the delivery of a Cross Community Cross Border Youth programme in 2020/21.
