Basketball Northern Ireland is the governing body for the sport of basketball in Northern Ireland. The organisation exists to promote and develop the sport at both participation and performance level.

Affiliated clubs of Basketball Northern Ireland are supported through the provision of local leagues and annual tournaments at junior, senior female and senior male level. Outreach basketball activities take place through the delivery of funded projects in local schools and community settings. Basketball Northern Ireland also co-ordinates the delivery of a series of volunteer education courses between each season to further develop participation at all levels.

Our work

Basketball Northern Ireland signed up to our FundReady ‘Support’ Package in December 2018. Initially, we were contracted to provide satellite funding support to affiliated clubs. This helped clubs to secure small grants to deliver introductory coaching programmes and seasonal camps and to gain new training equipment to replace old, outdated items. The service has since been enhanced to operate as a hybrid model which consists of (a) small grants support for affiliated clubs (b) larger scale bid-writing for Basketball Northern Ireland projects.

The upscale of the FundReady service reflects the growth and future ambitions of Basketball Northern Ireland to develop the sport at both club and national level. Our team has helped the organisation to secure over £100,000 in grant funding to support its work and clubs across NI.

“S3 Solutions has been a vital lifeline to Basketball Northern Ireland and our members, especially during these testing times we live in. Their new system is both pragmatic and effective as it helps us gather important information that is needed when applying for funding.

Their personal service and the wealth of understanding with regards to funding and our sector has, and will be, a key strategic element in helping develop basketball in Northern Ireland. We look forward to continue working with them in the future”
